Last year saw the most amazing results for my students. The majority of GCSE students achieved either A or A* grades (I am particularly proud of one student who after receiving a predicted grade F from their school, went on to achieve an A grade, their story and other stories are in my blog). Year 5 and 6 level boosting (for SATs or 11+ entrance examinations) saw most students accelerate through a complete level (normally taking more than a year in school) in two to three months of weekly lessons. Anything is possible...
I am a qualified secondary school mathematics teacher who tutors privately (and I teach a small number of hours in a school). I teach pupils of all abilities from years 5 up to A' Level. I have the best job in the world, seeing students learning through easy methods and making great leaps in progress.
Why have tuition?... to keep up with school work, to be ahead with school work, to boost confidence, preparation for exams (SAT's, 11+, common entrance, 13+, G.C.S.E. or A' level). Just some of the reasons to contact me.
Students typically attend 60 minute lessons and they may be held on any day of the week. More intensive sessions and revision sessions for GCSE and 11+ are available.
Lessons are designed specifically to meet and enhance the each student's learning level and needs, and structured in such a way so that they make measureable improvements. I expect all students to do homework as I find this greatly enhances their progress. Free assessments are offered which helps to identify any strengths and weaknesses.
Lessons may be on a one-to-one basis or for small groups (up to 8).
Please enquire for current vacancies; I have a small number of vacancies arise each year for one-to-one tuition, prior to this time I operate a wait list system. I have current availability on the GCSE revision (class size up to 8) and 11 plus courses (class size up to 4) and on the Saturday school opening after Easter.
